Our Honours and Recognition
In 2025, the Tuko Sawa Society posthumously honoured Mwalimu Julius Kambarage Nyerere as Professor of Harmony and a Beacon of the Harmony Generation movement. This tribute took place during the official launch of Harmony Generation on 1 August 2025 at his home in Butiama, Mara Region.
The Tuko Sawa Harmony Award was established to recognise individuals who demonstrate sustained commitment to ethical leadership, community wellbeing, ecological responsibility, and service through lived example.
It celebrates harmony as a lifelong practice — grounded in responsibility, humility, integrity, and genuine care.
